Can I transport personal belongings in my vehicle?
You are permitted to transport up to 200 lbs of personal belongings in your vehicle. However, please ensure that the stowed belongings do not obstruct the windows of the vehicle.
Is my vehicle insured during transportation?
Yes, we provide insurance coverage for any damages caused by driver negligence. It is important to note that damages resulting from acts of nature or “acts of God,” such as weather conditions, debris, rock chips, etc., are not covered by our insurance.
How long can my vehicle remain at the terminal after delivery?
After unloading, your vehicle can stay at the terminal for a maximum of 5 days. Please be aware that a daily fee of $25 will be applicable for each day beyond this period.
Will I receive a condition report when I drop off my vehicle?
Absolutely. One of our employees will conduct a thorough inspection of your vehicle, taking pictures and noting any existing damages. This report, known as a bill of lading, will be emailed to you for your records.
What should I do if my vehicle is damaged?
In the event of any damage, it is essential to notify Open Carriers and its agents immediately upon receiving the vehicle. Please provide a detailed description of the damage along with clear pictures. The shipper is responsible for paying the applicable deductible in full, unless a deductible reduction was arranged at the time of booking.
What if my vehicle is not delivered on time?
We kindly request that you refer to the original estimated time of arrival (ETA) provided at the time of your quote. If your vehicle is not delivered within the specified timeframe, please contact our office to explore the available options for you.
